AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! !!!!!!!!!
HELL YES! DAVID COOK WON!
Okay, seriously, I'm kinda thinking Simon may have done what he did last night to piss people off enough to vote because David Cook won my 12 million votes. Do you know how insane that is? Even if he didn't though, I have to comend Simon for apologizing to David like that. I was very happy. He was too harsh last night.
OMG! But David singing "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Hero"? *Melt* He did amazing tonight. Absolutley amazing. He deserved this one. And... when he cried... yes, I got teary eyed. I really have no words to describe how this is. It's just perfect. And, once agian, he's proven what a gentleman he is by hugging Archellete (I swear I will never get that kids name down) before singing or anything. I've seen plenty of Idol winners ignore the loser and jump up and down but instead, his first concern was with his friend.
David Cook deserved this whole thing and I am so happy for him. Music may just get back to something good.
YAY DAVID COOK!!!

Okay, so I've been thinking about this all day today (it was a slow day at work. LOL) and the more I think about it, the more I think something is up. Simon Cowell has gone on practically every talk show saying how he thinks Cook deserves to win over Archie and yet last night, he was unbelievably harsh. I mean, David Cook has done a lot worse than he did last night and Simon wasn't even half as bad to him. So, I had found that a little odd last night, but didn't give much thought to it. Now though, I got to thinking.
I think that Simon either decided to praise Archie so much that it pissed off all the David Cook fans so much that it made them go crazy in their voting (I know at least five people that voted a thousand times by themselves!) or, he was trying to sway it to get Archie to win so Cook would sign with his lable, instead of Idol's. I know neither of my theories will ever be proven, but Simon just seemed wierd last night and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Also, after talking to some people today, I'm starting to have a small inkling that maybe Archie won't win it tonight. I don't know. I'm thinking there's an 80% chance David Archellette will win and a 20% that David Cook will win.
I'll post after the show most likley.

DAvid Archellette probably won it. He did a good job, even I will admit that (even though I muted his version of Imagine. I will not listen to that one). David Cook seemed a little off tonight too. It probably didn't help that the judges seemed to be putting him down while basically the whole night telling Archellette "Congratulations, you won!" It seemed a little wrong and it would get anyone down.
Despite what happens though, I have to say that Davids last song moved me beyond reason. I ended up crying so hard at the end of that that I couldn't talk. I still get a little emotional with that one. I don't know what it was but it was something about it that just struck a chord with me. It struck a chord with the audience as well I suppose. He made everyone there stand. Songs rarely move me to tears. Only a few songs prior to this has managed it and so the fact that it made me breakdown (both with the combination of the lyrics and the vocals) means something in my book.
David Cook was the true artist through this competition. He didn't play it safe (unlike Archellette. Notice all his songs were slow) and, he was an original. Even though tomorrow night he'll lose, he's still going to have a huge career in front of him. It still just kills me that he won't get this honor though. After all this effort, I just want him to be recognized as opposed to being beaten out by someone who has done the same thing, week after week.

Okay, so, yeah. I'm getting a little worried about tonight. I promised myself I wouldn't becasue I wasn't really sure if I wanted David Cook to win since he's be under Idol Contract, but, then again, if I was in that situation, I would want to win and I wouldn't care if I was under Idol Contract. He deserves to win, not David Archelette who I still don't know how to spell his last name.
I was reading the predictions of all the TV critics and all of them said that David Cook should win it because he's the best one there, but that they still think that David A. will win because he has the monopoly on the tween vote (and they're the ones that enjoy texting the most) and the grandma vote. Apparently, grandma's want all the teenagers in the world to act like David A (kill me) and therefore, they want him as a roll model instead of David Cook. Becuase, you know, a guy that spends his free time doing cross word puzzles is so dangerous.
*sigh*
I DO NOT want little Archie to win. He's not going to do good if he does. He's cute. That's what'll carry him. He has a good voice. I'm not saying he doesn't. But, he sings the same damn thing over and over again and no one is going to want to listen to fourteen tracks of slow songs, especially tweens. So, I don't see the kid being as succesful as David Cook.
David Cook has the better voice, in my opinion, and has more variety to his songlist. He should win. This remains up to the American voters though that for some reason want a seventeen year old kid who sings ballads that we are most likley to change half way through, to represent our music. Great.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
All I want is for David Cook to win American Idol so modern music starts to get somewhat back on track again. If freaking little chipmunk David Archellette (sp?) wins, I'm moving to Canada becasue I won't be able to call myself an American. I don't want him representing my generation in music. We already have enough teeny boppers in this century. Can't we have someone new that actually respects people?
Okay, so honestly, the man is hot, yes, but after watching some clips of him tonight, I have to say, he is also the one that will be able to handle this situation that will be put upon him and he's a class act. He could have jumped around and smiled when it was announced he was in the finals, but instead he took the girl that lost aside and hugged her and he didn't even smile because his friend was going home. He wasn't rubbing it in her face and for that, you have to give the boy some amount of respect because I have seen in the past where the people jump around shouting, while someone else stands by and cries because they didn't make it.
Also, have I mentioned he's hot? LOL
And I'm happy with his style of music. It's rock, but not a rock band that's trying to copy the sixties. He has respect for the rock era's, but he also knows he needs to put out new material that's actually good and pays tribute to rock and roll as opposed to the bands that just put out shit now. I hope he wins because I think along with him and a few other modern bands that I have my eye on, music might actually get back to soemthing worth listening to for my generation.
